Airman theme
I did never really play MM2 on the NES back in the days, I only had a Game boy. So I have learned to love this tune relatively recently. And when you like something, you remix it. So there…

Cloud castle
One of my favourite tunes from Castlevania 2 - Belmont’s revenge. I played it a lot in the 90ies, and 15 years later when I play it just to capture a video for the song, my fingers still remember it (somewhat-ish at least). The remix is made in Cubase with sounds from a Korg Trinity Plus, NI Pro53, a bit of Vanguard etc. I stayed pretty close to the original; it is hard to beat.

Cutman theme
A cover of a classic from the first Megaman game. Made in Cubase using cheap VSTis, Korg Trinity plus and a neat breakbeat.

Snakeman theme
Breakbeat version of a tune from the Nintendo game Megaman 3. Made in Cubase using NI Pro53 VSTi and a couple of classic breakbeats.

Cogs
Mechanical beats and haunting pads. Beware of long intro!

Phenomen
A cover of a demo track for the TCB Tracker program on the Atari ST. I’ve had this in my head for the last decade, and made a lot of different versions of it over the years. This is the most recent (and decent) one, with kind of a Laserdance feel to it.

Nexus demo
Two simple house tracks made while checking out the Nexus demo. I don’t have it anymore and it wasn’t good enough to buy (neat arpeggiator, though), so I consider these as finished as they get…

Average
A slightly upgraded version of an old trance/progressive/whatever tune I made in 2006, playing around with Vanguard. Basically the upgrade consists in just some EQ tweaking, new filters and different percussion in the intro.

Allians för Sverige
It was kind of inspiring getting rid of the “eternal” Swedish social democratic government in the 2006 election, and I made this dance track during the days afterwards. Not to be taken too seriously.

Age of reason
This is a John Farnham cover that I did as a school project in 2005. I didn’t have time to make a solo, and since all the files got eaten by some nasty virus there is no fun way of adding one. That also means I’m stuck with this mix which is good enough, but has room for improvements.

The last cycle
A collection of ambient-ish tracks that I made between 2002-2005. It is dedicated background music to the horror game Kult. Most of the tracks are recorded “live”; channel by channel directly into Wavelab, and then mixed. This is a fun and “organic” way of creating music, but of course you loose much of the editing possibilities of MIDI.

Rurouni
After watching like 90 episodes of Rurouni Kenshin I put together a mash-up of beats, 303’s, pads and samples from the series. It probably should have someone rapping over it but it works alright as an instrumental too. Made 2003 in Wavelab. Oh, and don’t hit me if you recognise the drum loop. It just… fit.
